Headed up Bean Creek Basin yesterday. No problems with any creek crossings. Fields of Phlox. Scarlet Gilias. Faint boot path ends at large, soggy meadow covered with millions of blooming Shooting Stars as wide as the eye can see. Complete solitude all day. Lunch embellished by a mule deer slowly passing in front of us. Had a glimpse at a Willamson's Sapsucker on the way down, and watched a Warbling Vireo fulfilling her maternal duties ( far enough away not to disturb!). Another wonderful Teanaway day.
