So other than the shrine commemorating the little girl who died ther a few years ago, there are two more memorials at Troublesome Cr. I didn't notice them when I was there last, but I was walking N to S then, this time S to N.
On the east side of the creek, 1/2 way to white bridge, 2 white crosses are planted in the woods. Anyone know anything about 'em? Tried to read the dates on the crosses, but I was in shorts & Tevas & they were in a Devils Club orchard.
Despite all the death that apparently takes place there, it's among my favorite forest walks. Woods don't come much more tuggly than that.

I could easily see someone playing on the rocks and slipping in. I went up there a couple years a go to take pictures. The water wasn't as high and I scouted around for good spots to take pictures. I noticed the rocks are extremely treacherous.

I hiked the loop trail there shortly after another drowning a few years ago, as well as up the unmaintained trail on the west side of the creek for a while(which is in remarkably good condition). The loop area is a beautifully forested spot with the water running through the rocky channel, but you can immediately see it could be fatal to fall in there. Unbelievably, a family had decided that the big flat rock on the far side of the creek under the bridge would be a great place for a picnic! I wonder if that was the same spot the kid fell from, because at first glance it is a natural place to want to view the rushing creek from-but... I even think there was a sign saying to stay on the trail. They had a small child(ren) with them too. Fools. They were packing up and leaving as I hiked upstream thankfully. Hey Quark(k)- I parked near the campground and used that water pump too- I always love to use them when the opportunity knocks. M&S

Is this the Troublesome creek that flows out of Blanca lake?

The same. I guess one could follow the creek up to Blanca but after a couple miles the trail/path fades into the river on its western side (it was flagged when I did it a couple years ago). But it's supposed to be a rather difficult bushwhack nearer the lake. Troublesome's outflow from Blanca looks to be a steep drop from the lake but I bet it would have some potentially great waterfalls to see.

Has the board convinced you there is one?

I believe my house is hotter than said place right now.
Enjoyed the 5 minutes of air conditioned bliss from the Pub to the house.
