another controversial topic... I don't even watch Football so I really have no idea... wink.gif From what I've heard it seems like she was a fan/groupie who went up to his room after work and wanted to have sex, but that things got out of hand or he was excessively rough to her or something... From just that description in my opinion it would just be regular assault, rather than sexual assault or rape, since she had allegedly consented to sex, just not the physical roughness level that he was into. I could be totally misinformed, though. If she went up there to deliver towels and he physically forced her completely unwillingly into sex, then he's a rapist and should fry or spend life in prison in my opinion.

I really couldn't care less about Kobe Bryant or any other high-profile celebrity case.

I think the issues I was going for had more to do with women's rights, the definition of rape etc... and then somewhat in regards to how celebrity affects treatment under the justice system etc...

lol.gif That's about what it's coming to. Of course someone will say this is what you get with pre-marital sex. Oh but wait, he's already married... to someone else. I heard he bought his wife a 4 million dollar ring after this happened. Then again, marriage doesn't imply consent either, does it?? What would be awesome would be if cell phones had a feature where a prospective partner would have to enter in their authorization code, and which also was hooked up to their medical records, then told you if they had any diseases etc... This way consent and STD free status could be verified. Also, if a woman was forced to enter her code, there could be an alternate code which meant... forced consent.. etc... I'm sure there could still be abuse here like what if a consenting female entered her forced consent code in a non forced scenerio. That would suck. OK how about this option... implant video recorders into everyones heads that recorded everything they did and said. and then the tapes could be used as evidence. I think that would work.

I think the news media has nothing to talk about and this story sells. If it was Joe Blow nobody would even bat an eye. Even though it is Kobe, the greatest of FOOTBALL player, lol.gif I don't care.
