This short (4.4 rt) trail near Washington Pass is a good leg stretcher for those driving over the NC hwy, and probably everyone here has done it, but I did want to report that the larches in the area are lime green right now and will be brilliant golden in another couple of weeks, I'd guess.
The aspens further east along the hwy and in the Methow Valley haven't even begun to turn. Some of the vine maples are bright red, but others are still quite green.
