Nice capture, Intl Joe! It was only there for a brief moment, appearing as the clouds broke apart. A couple quick shots and then it was gone. I wish I had taken my SLR but oh well. A quick pano I shot from the summit.Haystack sunset rays

Ah I miss Teneriffe. Its a long ridge hike, but the summit is cool, and the falls are nice to take a shower in. Might try to make it this week, especially if the weather is good!

Well now that the ridge trail is "posted" and by definition not a trail, I guess the only "legal" way up is the long road slog....
I did this almost exactly a year ago. It was 99.5% snowfree. I walked up the road and down the "trail". Not the recommended approach for sure. Now it certainly isn't snow free. Still trying to decided if to just wait a while longer or head up there. I guess if I keep trying to decide, it will default to later rather than sooner.

If you wait any longer, it will be winter again.
