I've been doing a lot of hiking out of Stehekin the last few years, (maybe 30+ days total) and thought I outght to post some pics. I've done McGregor, Star Peak, Goode Ridge, Bridge creek, agnes creek, Rainbow Creek, Trapper lake, Rainbow Lakes, Lake 6111, Mcalester/Dagger/Twisp lake loops, and also some trips into the mountains off the north side of Lake Chelan. If anyone ever wants to talk about this area or ask about something, I always enjoy discussions on this topic. These pics are from climbing McGregor (16 Mile RT, with almost 7,000' up) and from a Bridge/Rainbow creek loop trip. -Blake

Thanks Blake. Nice photos of a beautiful area. McGregor has been on my list for several years. Perhaps I'll get up there next summer.

If you go, let me know by email, I'll be in Stehekin again. McGregor is not just a trail hike. The top 1,000' is off trail rock/cliff scrampbing including places where you walk along a narrow "terrace" and a slip means lots of broken bones at the least. That said, it's a fun adventure, just get a good route description before you go.
