Which image on which page? I don't think I've seen Lake 22 in here yet.

I think I finally found one that you lake-baggers haven't been to. At first I though it might be just a seasonal melt-water pond, but it's on the map as a permanent lake, albeit unnamed.

P.S. Don't forget Yukon's & Willie's as-yet-unidentified lakes above, also.

Well, I guess borank isn't coming around to make the ID and I'm impressed by Dayhike Mike's discretion! To obscure the file name/location would have required some work that I was too lazy to do, especially since I forgot that it would show up quite clearly when quoting... Anyway, it's Minotaur Lake. Cheers!

The upper of the French Potholes, I think they're called? between Paddy and Robin. No map handy. Sad when you can't remember the names of the places you've been.

Good memory MtnGoat. up.gif I recall ~5 years ago you mentioning you were heading into the French Potholes.

well...am I right or is it lake 22? seems too austere for lake 22, it may have been snowcovered but I remember 22 had a lot, lot more trees and a big mossy cirque cliffs around the back

MtnGoat, yes, you are correct. TAH, as far as Lake 22... summit22 was funny for a while but the same shtick eventually got old.

Sorry, I must've missed the whole "summit22" schtick. But Lake 22 is an actual lake. Look it up. There's also a Lake 16 and a Lake 24, but I haven't seen any pix of those up yet. I'll let you know when I do.

Yep, there's a summit23 and summit33 1/3 too. Eventually the same material started getting old. Just sayin...

Moosefish, that's Lake 6110 on the Grand Valley trail. We hadn't heard of any names for those lakes, so we decided to get creative. We dubbed the area the "Milky Way Lakes" for their milky colors and named the high points and lakes after constellations. I believe we called that one Big Dipper Lake, with the little one by it Little Dipper. We have more, but we'd hate to bore everyone. wink.gif

Lake 22 actually did make it in this thread about a zillion pages ago. yukon222 is teasing us with the plural "lakes" - it's a single shoe.
