Well, this ain't no dramatic hike like the Robe Trail but there are days you just do the best you can with the time you have to spend ....
I hiked part of the trail from the "new" west trailhead off Exit 27 -- brand new to me anyway. Nice trail. No high drama but the first stretch was pretty with deciduous trees, a small creek, and big stumps with springboard notches. Lots of mushrooms along the trail. I don't know exactly how far I went but probably about 5-6 miles round trip. I did get to a viewpoint with a rather sullen looking Mount Si in the distance.
Stopped at the Ranger Station to get a map afterwards then drove around a while looking for things to photograph. Reinig Road is one of my favorite places to stop but I learned a hard lesson .... after a flood the terrain is very slippery. In trying to get down to the Snoqualmie I managed to take a classic pratt fall, fell right on my butt and got so muddy I had to go back to the car and change clothes.
Cameras were not harmed. Only my self-image.

Glad to hear you're ok too?

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.

It's okay, Mt. Si always looks sullen.
There are good reasons for it. If I were Mount Si, I'd look sullen too.

Yeah, ever since they put in that &%#$@! golden arches to help spoil the view from the freeway it's all gone downhill for me! Plus 500 Billion footsteps on poor tired Si doesn't help either.

Karen, do I understand this right? You don't like dirt on your clothes? COME ON GIRL!!!
I never wash my clothes and therefore I blend into the scenery.

Yeah, I'm OK .... I don't mind a little bit of honest dirt. But it was just such a total surprise to fall, slip and slide like that. I was being so careful, too, because I saw "skid" marks in the mud where others had gone before me. I fall down a lot actually. I even fall into rivers and crevasses but at least I don't get dirty in those.
