Thanks for the report PIB and the pics are fantastic! That is a lot more people and vehicles than what I envisioned on that trail. I haven't been there yet, but it's been on my hit list for years. If the weather holds, I'll be heading that way on the 5th. ~E

If I didn't have a bum knee, I would be sleeping there tonight. Looks great and I really like your sunset reflection shot of Shuksan. up.gif

Very nice pics, as usual, PiB. Did Flat Stanley enjoy his trip? He should have his own blog. You're so right about taking some time to just be alone and while the hours away. Good for you!

Nice, moody clouds. I was sick all weekend and didn't do a lot of outdoorsy stuff.

Trevor and I may have passed you on our way up. We started out around 3:30 or so, counted at least 50 people coming down. Absolute mad house. Completely empty by the time we got to the top. smile.gif

You take awesome photos, PIB! Yellow Aster Butte is high on the list, even higher now that I've seen your report. Funny about the Collins "groupies". In addition to getting out darned near 52 weekends per year, he is one super cool dude.
