Thanks for the great trip wildernessed and Geotom and thanks for the trip report wildernessed. First off Fall is in evidence, but the larches are not really turning all that much yet, at least the ones we passed.

Turned out to be great weather and the Cascadian couloir was not as bad as advertised (at least on the way up; down is another story). Here is my picture dump:

Thanks again for writing the TR wildernessed up.gif Dani and I (and Jasper dog) got a good look at Stuart today from the Kendall Katwalk (Dogwalk?). Now I only have one TR to write, and I just might have Jasper write it hmmm.gif This was a very enjoyable trip. From talking with Schmidt Alti-Dude earlier in the week, I knew we might run into them. It was nice sharing a camp with Team S. Looking forward to their TR prod.gif Some things I learned this weekend: Kyled is a machine. I did manage to keep him in sight (almost) most of the trip. Binoculars would have helped. Wildernessed likes to rock out to his iPod. Schmidt Alti-Dude is a nice guy once you get him to open up and talk a little. Schmidt Alti-Babe is violent. Don't get next to her when she has a pot of boiling water. Yukon222 is a saint for putting up with Alti-Babe's violence. Mt. Stuart is a big mountain, but you can't see Mt. Everest from it. The Cascadian Couloir is not as bad as advertised until you have to descend it. Enough blah.gif and more photos:

GeoTom - Regarading the Crapcadian Couloir, I believe there is already a petition to the USGS to add that name to the map.

Fun running into you guys at camp and again high up on the mountain. Our route (Schmidts and Yukon) was a little different - hard not to have spectacular views from anywhere up on those ridges. This looks like this would be a nice loop. hmmm.gif lol.gif

Your photo "Mt Stuart from Longs Pass" is just beautiful. It looks like a painting more than a photo. Would you mind adding a label to point out where the Cascadian Couloir is?

Slo Walker- Not sure if you were referring to my photo or wildernessed's photo. I put labels on my photo titled Mt. Stuart from Longs Pass showing the bottom and top of the Cascadian Couloir route.
