I have to agree with Grinch, on the first page of this thread. The view from Image Lakes's toilet is one of the best that there is, at least that I have seen in my many excursions.

Here's an article with some more toilet views from around the world. Even though it's a British paper an image from Washington made the list! One from "Boston Bay" in the North Cascades. doh.gif embarassedlaugh.gif Loos with views!

During the Summer months, a copy of the New York Times gets delivered to the one on Sahale Arm every morning. up.gif up.gif

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Comrades, Near Gnome Tarn in the Enchantments is a pit box with a full view of Prussik. With binos you could watch the climbers. And, best of all, the goats don't mess with the deuce, so they're not standing two feet next to you with those beady black eyes. Tom

Sorry if this has been posted, I didn't read the whole thread. Here is the view from the toilet at the hiker's camp at Image Lake that a couple people have mentioned in this thread.

Another vote for the privy at Image Lake. It was partly cloudy at the time, so it made for quite the interesting view of Glacier Peak. Aesthetically, the privy at the North Fork Sol Duc Shelter is beautifully designed and built.

My personal favorite is at Cradle Lake in the ALWA with a great up close and personal view of the North side of Harding Mt.

I vote for the composte toilet at Sahale Glacier camp. I can't find my photo of the actual toilet, but the view is something like this:

I don’t know about the best view - but I know where a haunted one is….Mineral Park campground off Mid Fk Cascade Rv Rd. There was movement in that thing, and not the kind you’d think. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. There I was, hanging out, you know how you do….suddenly (and without warning), the thing started to wiggle (I mean the outhouse). I figured the whole unit was off its rocker, so I wasn't too worried at first, but it was sorta like a tremble. After I noticed the floor was cement, I figured it wasn't rocking on an unstable base or anything. I got all wierded out and left in a fairly quick manner. Next morning, I figured I’d give it another whirl, just to make sure I wasn’t the one rocking on an unstable base…. Same thing happened. Like I said earlier, I couldn’t get outta there fast enough. Luckily, it was late fall and raining like hell (big surprise), so the campground was empty ‘cepting for me, so it didn’t matter a whole helluva lot that my britches weren’t snapped up. I haven’t felt that creeped out since I was a little tiny kid, a ghost’s voice came “oooooohing” out of one of the songs on the Shirley Temple album, “Good Ship, Lollipop” that I used to listen to. But that’s a whole ‘nother story, and I won’t go into it at this time.
