Great trip! And overnight, too, to enjoy it better. up.gif I understood the PersIndex col to be the "Perfect Place", but many names apply...

Cheers, Mesahchie Mark

Matt, Dicey and Yana, you guys "rock"! What a TR! What a splendid set of photos of one of my most wanted places since settling in NW (May, 1979). Alas, getting all the way to PersisIndex seems improbable, going beyond to Index impssible...unless someone carried me! LOL! The vicarious travel with your account of the traverse and admirable photo essay is fulfilling up to the degree that I can't taste or smell the place. Alas! Thank you so much. I gotta try to reach Persis and a few tarns in 2009...hope the Lord allows me. BTW, what is the feature peak in photo 27? Any ID on Lennox? Did you zoom any of Wild Sky peaks? I love Wild Sky jagged peaks...more photos? Oh, yes...how do you warm up after one of those freeze dips? Don't tell me, "Freeze-dry!"
