Every year, around this time, I start to go over my photographs from the past year and pick 12 for next year's calendar. (This gets printed and sent around to family and friends.) Given that hiking season is winding down (at least for some), I think it would be fun to see what others come up with.
So here's my Calendar 2009:
January February March April May June July August September October November December
Over to you guys...

Glad I'm not the only one who does this sort of thing.

Nice idea! Here are mine so far. Really hard to pick since I did most of my trips in September and October.

We're making one for our parents and grandparents back in Norway. We made sure that all the photos have us (or at least one of us) in them because they probably care more about us than scenery.
It ended up not being very seasonally themed as we don't have a lot of snow photos...

I know that there are commercial services that will take your pictures and use them to create calendars. What do you all do?

I currently use Snapfish, but have used FedEx/Kinko's in the past. I think Costco does the same thing and there are probably several other online retailers that do it as well.

What a great idea, I wonder if I could pull something off this year or if it will need to wait for next year... Love it! Thanks for sharing all of your gorgeous photos.

WOW!
I must say, the photo quality in some of these is wonderful...and on the site in general. It just keeps getting better.
I frequented a similar site in the northeast, where I just returned from, and they put together a calendar. Someone organized it and, photos for each season were submitted, all users voted on their favorites, then the calendars were ordered, printed and sold. Proceeds were donated to some local conservation fund. Perhaps that could be done for 2010? Maybe trail maintenance or fish habitat or ???
It must be said that the NW shots blow the NE shots out of the water!

Jack, I would hope our shots blow the NE out of the water - there are some nice spots back there (esp. in the fall), but I had to laugh when my cousin took me up to see the White Mts and proudly pointed out Mt. Washington, which wasn't as impressive as Mt. Si (and had a road to the top)!

Well, yes, there's that obvious fact. Beauty is certainly more subtle there than here, giving us the obvious advantage. But that is only part of it, as you well know. Not only can many folks on this site point their cameras towards something pretty, they can capture it well.

Careful...folks from that region are notoriously thin-skinned.
