The Northwest Room in the downtown Tacoma Public Library has a series of books Published by the State of Washington on Mining History and resources in Washington. I would assume the Seattle Public Lib has something similar but have been disappointed in Seattle. Since these are scholarly, state published books, I would think a number of college Libraries would also have them. Good luck.

You can find a wealth of mining-geology from the DNR. http://www2.wadnr.gov/dbtw-wpd/washbib.htm http://www.dnr.wa.gov/geology/pubs/publist.htm Some reports can be ordered or you may find them at the U of W library along with a whole lot of other reports. If you know the title you can search the collection to see if it is there before going at http://catalog.lib.washington.edu/search You might like to check out the following: Washington Geological Survey Bulletin and later renamed to Washington Division of Mines and Geology Bulletin (starts 1901) or Washington Geological Survey Annual Report (starts in 1902). The Vol 37, Part II, 2 v. was just put on the DNR geology web site as a PDF file All art in the U of W library.
