If I do not have time to sit down to dine, after an I-90 outing, I stop at Chipotles Mexican Grill in Issaquah to grab a 1,200 calorie Chicken Burrito which incidentally was rated (calorie-wise) one of the 20 worst meals by Newsweek magazine. If I'm especially hungry, I add chips and guacamole which raises the caloric level to a degree in which dinner can almost be skipped. Food quality-wise, I rate Chipotles higher than many sit-down restaurants.

For trips to the Carbon River/Mowich Lake areas, I'm partial to the Pick N Shovel in Wilkeson,I like to support the town, and the food is good. If the Pick N Shovel is closed for some reason, then it's Wally's Drive In in Buckley.

We stopped at Twede's cafe in North Bend yesterday. Friendly service with decent food that arrived quickly. Bottomless fries reminiscent of the way Dick's drive in fries used to be. Trust me, you will not need to reorder more fries.

No more "Chipotles" in Issaquah, it's going Italian, to open soon (Spring '09) See if I can get an update on Gordy, he's not done cooking.

Chilis actually is the place the new Italian place is going into - Chipolte is just across the way.

I think he has another BBQ place in Kent or Auburn (?), and the name may have changed, but it's the same food up.gif

My dad grew up in Buckley. He still calls Wally's by it's old name (which I can't remember right now doh.gif ). I did enjoy a delicious raspberry shake at the Alpen-In in Sultan last weekend. up.gif

Chilis is becoming Tutta Bella. Great pizza! There are others in Wallingford, Columbia City, and on Westlake.
