I have "flickr.com" problem! I pay for Flickr each year, now; so I thought I would have 100% access to photos to share. That may be, and, I have no idea how to access any photos aside of the several "pages" of recently posted photos on my Flickr account (these pop up when I call up Flickr from nwhikers.com to load into a comment on a thread). I have several thousand Flickr photos saved, many are individual (I have yet to understand what I did to have them "loose" and not in the files I have, "Sets", etc. So, I wish to go to an older "Set" and retrieve photos to share; only means I could was to retrieve the same photos from hard drive files and load them to Flickr account as "new" so they appear in the current page with other, recently loaded photos. Any suggestions? It would be wonderful to be able to manipulate the account and retrieve photos from old Sets, Tags, etc. to post at nwhikers! Also, Hotmail/Microsoft is dropping Groups (Groups.msn.com) in a few days. This forced me to "migrate" my Groups to Multiply.com as suggested by MSN/Microsoft. Once at Multiply (I have yet to learn much of it...and it functions quite differently than Groups) I can load from Flickr. I discovered I need some new functions to upload from my photo files (still in hard drive, which I soon will have on Flash drives). As above, the question is the same if wishing to load from Flickr' Sets that are dated older than those that appear in the current photo array that pops up when desiring to transfer/post photos at nwhikers (or, in this new situation, to Multiply.com account). You may be laughing...I am not a newbie, just an old guy sputtering around in the dark with lack of computer wizardry. Any assistance is welcome...if I understand the "jargon". Thank you!

I also have been frustrated by the limited photos available to me for posting on nwhikers from flickr (i think it only goes back three pages) so I would love to hear a solution as well.

One of these days I plan to overhaul the routine to let you pick from sets. Until then what you have to do for older pics is find the pic at flickr, right click on it and select "copy image location" (in firefox), then just paste it into your post. If you are using internet explorer you have to right click on the image and choose properties, then copy the address (url) and paste it into your post.

Update: I had some time to tinker with the routine to let you to pick from sets now. Seems to work fine but let me know if you experience any problems.

Thank you, Tom. I'll give this effort a try very soon....have "obligations" to work through (i.e., "daily grind" that goes into night work).

I up loaded two new photo's to my flicker account. When i try to add them to a post, they do not appear in the pop up window. I even tried to roll them in to a set. Recently up loaded photos still do not appear in the pop up window. confused.gif

When I go to flickr and look at your photostream the most recent photo shown is "river bend'. Also, when I put "hulksmash1" into the username field here and click the pics button the same pictures show up, so it looks fine to me. If you have pictures that are not showing up here (or not showing up at flickr when you are logged out at flickr) they probably have a non-public privacy setting applied. Make sure the photos are public.

There should now be thee new photo's when i click the "Pic" button. They are not there. It's not the privacy settings. I checked. I figured out the work around. But it's cumbersome compared to clicking the button These are the photo's that should appear.

This is the message I got when went to flickr to view your photo.
Quote:
This photo falls outside your current SafeSearch filter. You can click through to see it if you want.
I suspect that's why your recent pictures are not showing up in public searches. Your account must have gotten flagged. Have you been hosting porn? clown.gif
