Can anybody recommend a manufacturer of relatively light weight, stuffable, rectangular sleeping bags? I'm just not comfortable in a mummy bag. I need a 3 season bag of good quality construction. I will consider either down or synthetic fill. Thanks.
George
Western Mountaineering has some semi-rectangular bags that are pretty light. You also might want to pop your question over at The Lightweight Backpacker (TLB) forums in the Lite Gear Talk section. They seem to have a lot more gear heads than we do here.

I second theWestern Mountaineering nomination. I love my Megalite--it's a mummy but very roomy. As Tom said, they have some nice semi-rectangular bags, too.
www.nunatakusa.com also sells a couple items that might be worth looking at. They are local and really helpful. Their "backcountry blanket" is particularly interesting. If it interests you, also check out the Prima Blanket at www.integraldesigns.com.
I've also own a couple Marmot semi-rectangulars with which I could not be happier. North Face's 25 degree Crysalis might be a good choice too. It's well under 3 pounds and you can probably find one one clearance somewhere.
