Camped at a ranch near Cle Elum just west of Golf Course Road between I-90 and Easton Ridge with a group of youth from church. Approximately 18 inches of snow on the ground in the open areas. Back road areas were under the trees were solid sheets of ice from the daytime thaw freeze cycle. Spent the first night in a "summer cabin" which was a mistake. The thing was the basic equivalent of barn, with lots of open knotholes and gaps around the doors and windows. Night time temp that night was a low of 15. Brrrr... Friday was spent snowshoeing and tubing with the family. Had two of the youth break their arms; one from a sledding accident, and the other falling on the ice. Food was great and the accomodations the second night were even better (wood stoves are great!!!).
