I made a quick after work hike to Heather Lake to check out the fall colors. Passed a few people on the way, but soon had the lake to myself for a pleasant photo circuit.

The Reeds picture is awesome. I like the texture and vivid green. up.gif

I like that misty shot Kim, that lake has many moods. Joe, sorry, I'm afraid I've gotten something going with the borders, but I like em - you should try it (I use a one click PS action to create mine and it doesn't add much to the file size since it is so simple).

Fine photos, Jim Dockery! I am sooo Yealous! Went there twice this year! Decided Heather is "better" than Lake 22. But, well, next trip may tell me another tale? Went to Lake 22 in June or was it earlier? There was a pile of snow to get to icy lake. Then, tackled Heather; it was later in summer but fine for wild flowers and views at Heather (buggy, though). I liked so much, went back a short time later. I wondered if the autumn colors would be good at Heather. Thanks for your views! BTW, runoff season delivers a multitude of waterfalls at Heather (pretty much the same at Lk. 22). Heck, hard to realize short, stumpy Pilchuck is "our Yosemite"!
