View larger size in new window I got a late start and stayed on top for the sweet light. I hiked down in the dark. I walked up to the summit, then walked the length of the ridge and then went back up the summit; I got some exercise today!. 12 miles 3,600 feet total elevation gain Amazingly all the snow is gone and it was not even icy up there. I brought ultra-light crampons, boots and gaitors but did not need any of them. I had a nice clear view of three volcanoes, the Hood Canal the Southern Olypmics and even Grays Harbor. I watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from up there. I'll post pictures later, just getting the map thing set up for now. A detailed trip report will be on my blog later. I'm bushed.

I switched the map to 'Map' view and zoomed out just to get oriented. Oh, I see - SE part of the Olympics. You were fortunate to be able to get out and take advantage of the sunshine.
