Ya...I know what you mean! My husband and I feel the same way about the Mountaineers..we tried to work something out with them but there really wasn't any room for people coming in on the experienced side of things..at least that is what we felt... We try to get out often too and enjoy many of the same things you listed... If you don't mind getting together with a couple...we'd be interested. (we get along really great...I only put rocks in his pack when he REALLY deserves it!)

Y'all ought to consider getting climbing or scrambling equivalency from the Mountaineers. That's what I did. Suggest climbing if you have the background -- it's cheaper.
