We found better snow than expected on the back (north side) of Heather/Skyline Ridge at Stevens Pass yesterday. Each run had some tricky spots, but most was good powder. Sluff/slab management was the name of the game. Our last run down the front side was pretty alright too.
i was up at snoq pass yesterday .. practicing turns on my AT skis on groomed snow with the crowds (though surprisingly they weren't so bad) .. up n down .. up n down -- boring stuff but you gotta put in the time when just learning says my ski pal .. anyhow i was dreaming of the days when i can get into the bc .. the only reason we took it up last year .. these pix make me yearn for it even more ..

Cool. N side of Heather Ridge is one of my fave ski tours. Did you get up to Tye Peak?
We (several other NWHikers and me) were across the road at Yodelin. Lovely day. More stable snow pack than we had anticipated.
Tom, yes, those pillows had good coverage, but you do have to watch out sometimes for the downhill holes. Steve, we thought about going over to Tye, but we had the north side to ourselves and the snow was so good we decided to stay there. Glad you guys had fun at Yodelin, I haven't been there in a while.
