I know this is alot to ask. Here is my situation. Just recently had bypass surgery and wont be allowed to pick-up/ carry more than 20# until July. My wife doesn't hike any more and doesnt want me hiking alone for awhile. Will primarily be dayhikes with no guarantees on distance/ speed at first. Any takers?

I work in the Nuclear industry and nuke plants dont go down for refueling outages in the summer. AC requires more power than heat so they go down in the fall/winter/spring.

I might be able to join you as well - especially on some of the outings I do with my mother. She's 80 but can still do 9 miles and up to 2000 feet of gain so I'm thinking you might be up to that as well. She can't carry much weight anymore, but I can carry 3 people's stuff.

I live in the near north (Edmonds) and would also be interested. I'll have lots of time after August the 1st (retirement) and I'll be looking for hikes. PM me also. Rick

Have an appointment with cardio rehab next week. Will find out then some kind of schedule. I currently have a 10# weight limit going to 20# next month and no pressure on sternum at all. After all restrictions are removed and the cardio reab I will have a better idea of elev gain and distance plans. Hopefully I will keep up with Mom smile.gif

She lives in Mt. Vernon so if you're in Sedro Woolley, I'm sure we can meet for some hikes this summer. I know she wants to try to get up to Park Butte Lookout again this summer, and I'm planning that toward the end of August in hopes that stream crossing isn't major by then as that's the hardest part of that hike for her. Keep us posted. smile.gif
