Re: Twin Falls, the upper tier is definitely over 150 feet tall, the topo maps can prove that. I really can't get a good bead on the lower falls until I get down there mahself (and I will soon...*knocks on wood*). Re: Foss Loop, I think the way Alpinejo went was Delta to Otter to Azurite to Chetwood to Angeline and then up to the Foss R. trail. I don't think he went straight up the Big Heart outlet.

i could say, my trip to Ashland Lakes/Twin Falls, just last year is one i will remember for a long time. There is a really nice trail all the way there and back... it is about 5 miles one way, it's probably a hike to do in the run off season. i was there in the fall and Twin Falls wasn't very good. Ice Girl, here is the Twin Falls poem and photo I wrote a few years ago from notes I took on my first trek in there in 1979 from up the shoulder of the mtn. along side Wilson Creek up the right side into the forset. Since, I have been in there from 3 separate different routes, of course the trail being the easy one. Thought you might like this read: http://www.alpinequest.com/veil2.htm

photography partners
Lately, I've been considering photography hikes to waterfalls. And I'm certainly glad to find people with similiar interest. I'll be up for a photography hike, preferably during the week. Also, I favor Nikon people over Canon so we can share lenses. smile.gif Anyone interested, please send me email @ julchenms@hotmail.com. Thanks,
