I've asked this before, and I'm asking again. This time you must sell it directly to me. I really need one because I gave my desktop away to the WTA, and I have no CD burner. I hope to replace my laptop later this year, money permitting, but in the meantime it's killing me not having a burner. I can probably get you a receipt for your donation from WTA, and then when I get a new lapper I'll put it back in the WTA office. Anyone have one they could give me or let me buy for cheap?

Does it need to be external?, I have seen internal ones advertised for under fifty bucks.

Heck, I have two internal CD-Rs sitting on my desk, next to me, complete unused at the moment. It's the "external" portion of this request that keeps me from saying, "yea, verily".

My old 4x internal burner is around here somewhere. I'd happily give it a good home if someone wanted it. Pretty slow these days.

Marylou, here's an option for you: Closeout at Target - External CD-RW - USB 2.0 MediaStation 52x24x52/16X DVD Combo 52x24x52 CD-RW/16X DVD with integrated USB 7-in-1 Card Reader I4816CEU $32.48 Detailed product description is here. (After you're done using it you can still donate it to the WTA. wink.gif ) Next best option if you can't find a target with these still in stock would be to go pick up an external USB 2.0 enclosure from somewhere, anywhere -- they're around $25-30 shipped and put one of these handy dandy spare CD-RWs inside it.
