Oh man, that hurts, to see such beauty, to know I was so close to being able to go with you guys, then to not be able to go. Fantastic pictures, and the whole area looks like a dream come true. Thanks.

Glad the weather held for your trip. Looks like from summit to the end of your trip you came out the way we entered in august. Summit had the biggest fish of our trip on up to 23" all cuts, was it the same for you? we went s.w. from summit to trapper lake then came back via the Palmer and porcupine trails to finish our loop hitting and fishing a lot of the lakes on the way. The only lake that did not contain cuts was Round lake it was running over with brookies. Great shot of the Moose? Probably the one that had our heads popping out of the tent at 2am one morning running through our camp.

Thanks for the pictures, folks! I needed that after having to cancel my own trip. Well, the Winds will be there next year, and, Lord willing, I will be too!
I was watching the weather last week and it looks as though you had quite a bit of the good stuff.
Had the aspens turned yet when you were there? Some pics on this week's Pinedale Online.

first goldens for several of the group....skummit lake was indeedeee full of 15"-17" trout, best fishing of the trip, then two days to hike out....the views on the hike out were great with meadows and 2 huge lakes the last 2 hrs....or more to git past them...
TAKING IT UP A NOTCH FROM THE MONT. TRIP!!!.......hiking at 11,000' was great, congrats to others on hittin some 13,000' peaks, should have gone for the great view....

You missed out today, I had a great time riding @ Walker valley, still did not find the lake though, although another biker told me of a possible route and another lake named Lost lake.

Looks like a great trip.
Very lucky on the weather as it has been warm and sunny every day in the inter-mountain west.
The lack of monsoon moisture makes for great long term trips.
Thanks for the great photos and inspiration. I will hopefully make it there soon!
