I'm looking for a hiking partner for the long weekend. I'll be in Seattle for 4 days, out of which 2 days (4th & 5th July in all probability) will be in at
Olympic Peninsula. I posted at another web site, and someone directed me here. I am looking for hiking company. I like to hike about 8-9 miles, moderate terrain. I can be slow sometimes, but I keep going. I am female, late 20s. I'm not looking for any particular gender or age, as long as you are fit & friendly, and don't plan on smoking too much or being high during the hike.

Do you have any particular details of the trip you want to do? Do your dates imply a one-nighter or maybe 2? What do you mean by "smoke too much"? Isn't smoking at all too much?

I plan to stay in Port Angeles the nights of 4th & 5th. I am planning to be in the Hurricane Ridge area for the first day of hiking. I wanted to find the Olymp Hot springs the second day and then - well I guess I will have a couple of unplanned hours to do another short hike. If I really like it there, I might spend a part of 6th as well, but I might decide to ferry over to Victoria. If someone has better ideas, I'm pretty open to that since I haven't seen the place before.
Smoking: Its not a battle I can fight, and I'm used to waiting for folks to have a "quick break". But its annoying if I have to keep smelling it.

Hi hikers,
First, let me say hello to you all. I was pointed to this group looking for a hike to join on July 4/5/6.
Since I am new to Seattle and right at the beginning with my NW outdoor experiences, I would like to join a hiking group for the long weekend.
Are there people to share a trip? My preference is Olympic Peninsula, distances of approx. 15mi (24km) are OK but there shall also be some time for watching the beautiful places. I am M35, not an adventurer.
If such a hike is what you also want to do, pls send me an Email to eilebre@yahoo.de. Thank you
Ansgar

How about Male....35 years old. I'm guessing. Does that work?

Give a poor M35 a break. Well, never mind. Its always better to have some fun.
Anyway, will be in your part of the world later this afternoon, and though I haven't managed to find a hiking partner, I'll be out there getting my boots dirty on 4th. Have a great loooong weekend!
