Skunk cabbage is starting to poke it's flowers up around Maple Falls. I also saw some Shepherd's purse blooming in my yard -- does that count? It's a flower...

caught my first trillium sighting at Twin Falls. I was very excited smile.gif Saw some pretty little white bell like flowers peaking out at Wallace Falls today, but that was about it.

My balamroots have started blooming (3/31) around my yard north of E. Wenatchee. Almost 2 weeks later than last year, but a day earlier than 2 years ago. Geo: I saw the first tick of the year yesterday.

Pic's from the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge down the street from my home. My mind has gotten too corrupt and defragging it doesn't do any good anymore dizzy.gif . And my insurance won’t pay for a new processor implant waah.gif . So I can't remember the names of the flowers until they float up to the top frown.gif Except for the tiger lilly which is my favorite smile.gif

The cold wet winter seems to have slowed down most of the early bloomers this year. The Vinca does seem to be especially happy, I see purple ground cover everywhere. Early Rhodies, the pinks, are starting to pop out. The rain has made the Camelias hit and miss, but I take care of this big Japonica down by the lake, and it sure was happy this year.

Not only does it have the variegated light and dark green leaves, but it also has huge pink and white blossoms, with yellow eyes.

The Zachster nearly scared me away from posting, but I'll post anyway wink.gif . Lots of blooming trillium in Woodinville's Gold Creek Park right now - it's interesting to see the patterns of the clumps that have spread here and there through the forest. The False Lady Slipper has lots of green foliage up and some early risers are starting to show off purple flowers, but the big show has yet to arrive (there's a stretch there with a LOT of this plant and it looks very nice when in full bloom). Salmon berry is blooming now too.

Anybody know if the flowers are blooming at Ingalls Creek, or is that area still under snow?

The husband and I are in our second spring in the new house and we have one of these in the front yard and it just started blooming. I wondered what it was called smile.gif it's neat seeing all the new flowers around the yard, I was so excited to see that we had tulips!! Also, Rattlesnake has quite a bit of flowering trillium and violets...which my friend calls "yellows" because she just can't get over the idea of a yellow flower being called violet smile.gif No pics because y'all know what they look like!
