I have a High Defintion TV and I recently bought a Roku HD1000 Digital Media Player (Price around $299 depending on where you get it).
I love viewing photos this way - especially those with resolution > 600x800.

That sounds like a great way to view photos. Besides memory cards can you use cd's? Why do the pictures have to be 600 x 800?
Another question, regular dvd players are supposed be able display jpg images. What kind of quality do you get using that method?

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I was using the > greater than symbol. The best phtos are those in the 1152 x 864 and greater resolution. Like most viewers, it adjusts the display based on the input.
The Roku device display most of the common card media types, but it does not have a CD player. For that you could share the CD over a network, copy it to a hard drive and share it over a netowrk, or just copy the data to a memory card and insert it in the machine.
