There is really not a lot to clear, it's more like how much they have to replace. There is one big slate rock, about as big as my car in the on the old rd. All the rest would have to be filled in.

On my first visit to the 3F lookout in June '76, the old ladders were silvered and thrashed and missing several rungs.
Perhaps Oldman Winter has been in a retro mood. Injecting a little adventure back into the last 75 vertical feet.
On reflection: those new ladders were pretty hefty.... made out of treated beams. It is a puzzle if one is really gone. I would suspect human mischief.
