Well not a big issue though - really overall in Wa we have little to fear outside of say the North Cascades. And even then I wouldn't fear it, just a very clean camp, good food storage practices. As long as we all practice that there is little issues with any of the bears in Wa.
At least four different GBs have been seen in the last year within about a 2 mile radius in the NCNP. I guess I don't see that as something to be taken too lightly, but then I was just there earlier today, so it's on my mind.

I'm not sure how bears enter into this conversation at all.
Washington bears won't go near campsites with those old brands of freeze dry.....switch to the gourmet and you're inviting trouble in the forms of hungry, yet refined bears.
