Cold Creek Road (9070) to Windy Pass and PCT 7-22-2022 Drove to Mt Catherine TH in Subaru Forester. Several sections of serious potholes. Two sections with parallel gullies along the length of the road. Once the fall rains start those gullies will collect water and I suspect serious road damage will result. Joey

Garcia (9020) ?
Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road (FS 56) Mailbox TH, Taylor River TH, Dingford Creek TH, Goldmyer Hot Springs

Rocky Run (FS 4832)
The spur (136 per Google Maps) to the backdoor TH is extra brushy but save for a nasty water channel right at the beginning and some moderate rutting about halfway in is still more or less drivable. Extra clearance would be good, don't take a car you don't want to add pinstripes to.

Jack Creek Road (9738)

DNR does not have a recreation easement for recreation access across this road. DNR land managers are working on a solution. In the meantime, the only access to Mitchell Peak trail is from the North Siouxon Creek Trailhead, in the southern part of the Siouxon Block. Added Mt Hood fire closure.
Might be a bit out of the way, but some Washingtonians might be planning trips down here.

Darn link. Anyway, MBS website, front page article about trailheads on I-90 being inaccessible because of a timber thinning project.

Just spoke to the folks at the Verlot office and that they indicated that FS road 41 will not be opened until next spring now.
So if you planned to run the Ron Herzog 50k out of Masonic Park, up around and to FS 41, it's looking very unlikely that the event will take place unless we can figure out a practical way to get aid up to the halfway point.

Just talked to a Ranger at the Marblemount stations and they just closed the gate for the season on the Cascade River Road at MP 21, two miles before the Cascade Pass TH. She said that they closed it in anticipation of the storm tonight that is supposed to dump a possible 6+ of snow up there.

Yesterday my mood was fouled after I spoke with one of the flaggers for the construction company that's working on the Sol Duc road. He said they're closing the gate Monday morning and the road will be closed through March for the continuing repair work. Not exactly an official source, but has anyone else heard about this? Not a peep from the ONP on their road conditions page.

The gate at 101. The resort is closed all winter anyway, isn't it?
Hopefully it's a false alarm.
Monday update: Still nothing on the NPS website, but I stopped by the Sol Duc Road this morning about 10am, the gate on the highway end was closed and I was again told the road would be closed to the public until March 1st.

ONP Sol Duc Road - Tuesday update, from the NPS road conditions page:
"Closed at Highway 101 due to ongoing road repairs. No estimated reopening date at present."
Bummer.
Update: A source at the park says the road is scheduled to reopen the last week of March.

FS 49 (N Fk Sauk) still closed at mp 0, but folks've been biking to the trailhead. It's steep as hell the first mile, but levels out after that. Repairs are scheduled for completion next summer, though. Hopefully early!
You mean Monte Cristo road at Barlow Pass? Might check w/ Monte Cristo Preservation Ass'n about that. If you're an MCPA member, you can park inside the gate - but the road is not driveable beyond the slide - you'd still have to walk or bike the remainder. I personally doubt the county will ever repair their portion again, and chances are pretty good the in-holders are tapped out and can't foot the bill.

Perhaps they are referring to the whole Monte Cristo area being closed for the clean up?
