Anybody know what happened to the original M.B.H.C.?
Hint: I have a personal interest in locating one of them.

One of them was selling a snowboard on Craigslist a few weeks ago. They claimed it "may have been" the first snowboard used at Baker.. I've wondered where the MBHC convertible shown in the 1991 video "Baked" has gone to, it was cool.

Thanks for the info. Of the three originals, Craig Kelly(the most famous) died in an avalanche. I am looking to locate Jeff Fulton. He is my wife's younger brother. She has not had any contact with him for around 10 years. BTW, where can I get a copy of "Baked"?

Thanks for the tip. A quick search on their site showed a few vids about "Baked Alaska" but nothing on snow boarding. The video was made by a Bellingham company. I will just try to contact them. Also, one of my cousins lives in Bellingham and has a teenage son that seems to be a part of the current snowboarding cult. It just occurred to me he might be a good resource.

You may call Washington Wind Sports in Bellingham. Those guys know everything about everything and everyone up there.

OK, thanks. One of my wife's sisters has had some contact with him via phone within the last few years so I guess he is still on the radar somewhat. But I don't think any family member has seen him face-to-face in quite a few years. We don't have a real pressing need to contact him. Just sort of wonder how he is doing.

My copy of Baked is a vhs copy I made back in '91 from a friend. I've actually been trying to find an original copy for myself and have been unsuccessful so far. Great old-school flick of the Baker guys with a very very brief showing by Craig driving away with his girlfriend avoiding the camera.

I'm good friends with Carter Turk. See him a few times a month.
We ran into Fulton about 1-1/2 yrs ago in B'ham...he's still floating around up here.
Bump into Janko every now and then.

Thanks. As long he is still around I guess we can assume he is ok.

I recently purchased a 1988 Transworld Snowboarding magazine and it shows all the pro riders of that year riding for Gnu. Carter Turk is one of them.

Carter and I go waaay back.
For many years we were ski buddies. Then he met a few guys in the dorms at WWU, who were into this thing called snowboarding...
The rest, so they say, is history...
FWIW...To the OP, Jeff seemed like the same old Fulton when we saw him. Sipped brews and chatted for an hour or so.
