Hit the Trail and I were looking to do something quick, under the inversion in Wenatchee it didn't look real motivating, and the area webcams didn't look to promising.
In the name of exercise we decided to do Beehive from Mission Ridge Road, and by the time we were heading up the road, the clouds were breaking.
The snow is pretty slim, we booted up, not even wearing gaiters, max snow was maybe 4-6 inches.
We set a quick pace, and made good time to the summit, views were OK, but sitting in the full sun in January was great.

Sorry I forgot my camera. Oh well, you always take the good photos anyway. Funny how quick decisions on local trips can turn into such good experiences. And...Tony, did I see you get off the quad at the top of Mission Ridge yesterday? I tried to connect but you took off toward the microwave ridge before I could act.

Hit the Trail, Indeed, David and I were up at Mission, as the post-holiday crowds had thinned. We were able to catch the first opening of Bomber at midday for un-groomed, un-tracked joy.

Yes, that's Grindstone, with Wedge Mtn. Ridge in the foreground. Thanks for posting the pics, as usual!
