Yes it's an attractive and unusual design for an outhouse, and the view and location are good. But whenever I see this photo I'm reminded of my scary experience there as I wrote in my post with the photo.
It was an example of strange and unexplained things that happen regularly on hiking trips.

Yep! Sounds like a trippy experience. Could've been the wind maybe? Kinda hard to go back to sleep after something like that eh?

I was surprised I didn't see a post of this one on the upper south side of Toleak Point(Slugman! ..where are you?!)
Hey Slug..if you "go"..take a pair of hedge trimmers to improve the "southern beaches" view..

a whole thread on backcountry toilets and not single mention of the ever popular Hidden Lakes?? makes me wonder where everyone goes when they got to go...
Anyhow, time to remedy that oversight:
holy $hit! Formidable view! ...and Baker to the North
use it! once you settle in you may never leave...

Pratt Lake Throne
The Pratt Lake crapper is wedged between two huge boulders, which serves to provide the leverage one needs after three days of eating powdered food.
By the way, I think it's time to dig a new hole.

In the mid 80's I remember sitting on a box above Rune Lake in the Enchantments. Prusik peak, Little Annapurna and McClellan surrounding. I could see the fish in the lake from there. Pretty special.
