I would still like to solve the mystery and find out who took it down, and why. Could it have just blown off the mountain during the winter? Could the DNR have taken it down because of some sort of ordinance violation? Could it have been a bunch of rowdys from cascadeclimbers.com?

Calling the DNR is a good idea. I think they are at 1-800-IGNOREU. Maybe I will see a movie while on hold.
