Hey, new here, was invited to join by a member as he knew I collected old stoves, bping and camping. He had a stove that I have three of already, so he said a number of old timers hang out here and to post a request. I have one old MSR stove left I would like to obtain prior to the X-GK II. I need a DF if anyone would be willing to part with it and also a white pump, preferable in working order but not necessary. Willing to pay a fair price or even a ridiculously low price. smile.gif I also know at least one other stovie who would like to get a MF or model 9 or similar old MSR with the cup and box etc. I just obtained a 9A, a piece of the MSR puzzle, the DF would fill in the last blank I believe, no concrete evidence out there on all the old stoves, but it is slowly coming together. I really love the old MSR stoves, they run so great and LOUD. There is a Optimus stove or two I would like to get also, a 8F I believe it is, I just got a '30's #8 that has the sharp cornered case in light olive green, runs great. Also would be cool to pick up a Optimus #9, they are similar in shape to the Borde bomb. Thank you for your time. I can be emailed and I can pay by Paypal. hikerduaneataaahawkdotcom Duane

Yeah...problem is now anyone responding is automatically an "Oldtimer". dang...I just responded. I'll poke around but I usually threw out my old stoves, or gave them to someone without a stove. I do have an old collapsible Sterno stove. They were great and could boil water in less than 1/2 hour...yuk, yuk.

Nature exists with a stark indifference to humans' situation.

I'm looking for the old white pump, Sterno doesn't interest me. I picked up a FireFly over a year ago that came with a Sterno pot stand, not much use to me, the ladies brother had the stove. I'll have to give it away. Duane

Thank you. It's been slow acquiring stoves from a few forums I've joined and even participate in some. I have though picked up a few stoves that were rare or sorta rare. This last will be hard. Duane

I recently saw a mamoth Svea at a local antique store. Looked just like the conventional model except huge. If interested I can stop by and get a pic and a price for it.

I have a bunch of the old brassies, about enough of them. I traded up on my motorcycle, so my funds are going towards getting my other bike fixed up to sell to recoup more of my money as I sold my road bike too, so that helped. I have the money, just waiting for that white pump. Thank you for the offer. Duane

I found a vintage (in package) MSR stove bag at my local Goodwill the other day. I can't speak to the vintage but the logo and packaging both scream 70's? I can text you a picture if you like. Freebie, I only paid 50 cents for it and looks like it will go USPS no problem. Let me know! I was looking for a drawstring bag for one of my WhisperLites but this appears to be an "envelope" more than a bag? No drawstring closure, etc.

If it were easy everybody would do it.

Thanks 3pin, I have a few X-GK's looking for others. I have a virgin, gold/yellow X-GK, one that has been on Everest and yet another old user. Duane

Digging out my old post. Dont have that rare MSR white pump yet, still looking, but have two white prototype pumps. Looking for old Coleman suitcase stoves, models that were painted black. Model 2G looks neat. Also, trying to fill in dates for Primus 96 stoves, date codes from the '40's (AF thru AK). Email hikerduane. at. gee. male. dot. com Duane

Bump. A member here said he will keep a eye out for me, appreciate it. Had emailed me. I'm looking for a Coleman 2E stove also among a shorter list of wants. Thank you for looking. Duane
