Photo taken from a moving car along Hwy 101 as we headed back to San Francisco from Point Reyes. Bolinas Bay was in the throes of a vicious sunset and I managed to capture this shot of a snowy egret in the water. What makes it additionally special is that very little post was performed on this - no crop, no straightening, no saturation, no editing.

A Tolmie Peak Sunset
There were a few pics of mine that I liked, but I liked this one the best since I rarely have any people in my pictures.

This is the one that does it for me, partly due to the memory of the feeling I had when I took it, the thrill, seeing the moose so close, knowing I was getting some good shots, not knowing the moose's feelings about me, being on the second day of an eleven day backpacking trip, the whole experience.
Hey now! You don't want a piece of the slug!

probably not that exciting, but i really love how it captures - ruggedness - glaciers - life (aka paintbrush) - weather it's the pacific northwest to me, all capped in one picture. well, minus a few other key things.

Nice photo! You just need a geoduck sipping a latte to complete the tableau.
