At 2.65 pounds (1.2Kg) it's going to win any awards for being lightweight, but this sort of thing sure makes me a happy man...

Hey, that thing weighs almost as much as my 4x5 (1.26kg). Too bad it's only a measely 16.7MP. They have to either get a LOT lighter, or a LOT higher resolution (or both) before I consider giving up 4x5 sheet film. I guess that's why the headline on the web site reads: "Canon’s 16.7 Megapixel SLR extends studio photographer’s options" It doesn't sound like they are targeting the lightweight backpacking crowd with this one. That's why I carry a pinhole camera. Actually I put a couple extra pinholes in it to make it even lighter.
