I am looking for a good source for parmesan cheese in the Greater Seattle area. I am looking for Italian Parmigiano Reggianoi, not the domestic varieties. I can get it online for $10 per pound plus shipping, but wondered if there was a local source. Well I live 16 miles west of Port Angeles but I get over to the Seattle area every so often. Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows of a local source which is about the same price. Rumi

I buy it at Madison Market in Seattle. I can't remember the price per pound, but it might be worth giving them a call.

I wonder if Borracchini's might have it? https://www.nowcake.com/Home/Contact

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Wow, thanks so much for the information. I will try to contact these two and see what their prices are. Rumi

Big John's Pacific Food Importers has it. They're down near Safeco Field. Big John's cheese list They only sell by the full pound unless they happen to have a smaller piece leftover.

Your Costco in Sequim doesn't carry it? Ours do here...in the deli area, near the meat section. It is the real stuff, imported.

I am hoping to find it at a comparable price to what I can get it online. I will have to check Costco and see what price they have it at. The stuff ages two years is good enough for me. Three years woould be really nice but I know I could never afford the five year stuff. Anyway, thanks Opus for your suggestion also. Cheese Library, I love the sound of that. *bigcheesygrins* Rumi EDIT: Opus, that place is on my list of must visits. Wowsers, that's my kind of store.

I used to buy it at Central Market in Mill Creek when I lived "in town." Also, I would imagine PCC Market in Edmonds just up the hill from the ferry will carry it. Central Market has a great cheese shop, always sampling good stuff, lots of local suppliers as well.

If it were easy everybody would do it.
