Josh, Michael, Craig and I climbed Sorcery Mountain on Sunday via the Dingford Creek trail and Horseshoe Lake route. The spot to turn off the trail is next to a large boulder with a tree stump on top of it. There is a faint boot path, but for the most part that was covered with a few inches of snow.
Overall, the route is not much fun without enough snow to cover the brush. As mentioned in previous reports, the boulder formations on the west ridge above the lake keep it interesting. We all carried snowshoes but they were not used. We were excited to meet the Sorcerer on the summit and he showed us a few magic tricks.

It looks like the Sorcerer was casting a spell on Big Snow Mountain.
The summit party was definitely enchanted by Sorcery, too.

For current conditions, this peak had a 1-out-of-10 approach with 10-out-of-10 summit views.

Cool. Puzzlr and I were up there last month. Didn't get the great views that you guys had nor did we meet the sorcerer. He must have been down below with Nimue, the lady of the lake.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

At least now we finally know the answer to the 30+ year old question of where this guy is spending his later years:

I'm envious of the views you got. But I enjoyed the route up more than you apparently did, except for the brush around Horseshoe Lake. I thought the rock outcrops on the ridge were unusually scenic with large rounded boulders tumbled every which way
