Although dog kibble tastes bland at first, one developes a taste for it. It really helps you learn how oversalted human snack food is.
I also like to sleep on the floor, pee in the garden, and go for a walk at exactly the same time every day, but I haven't learned how to scratch my ear with my foot yet.
Some people have better things to do with their lives than walking the dog. Some don't.

My uncle had a Coleman oven. We actually used it in the Boundary Waters Wilderness in northern Minnesota. We used to talk about making Moose Turd Stew in front of the newbies. When these newbies got older, and were running the show, I watched them actually bake moose turd pie with some newbie kids. They took them out into the swamp to collect some, instructing them carefully how to get their sh!t together, not-too-fresh, not-too-old. "Hey, cover that bucket. Carry it carefully. Don't knock any sh!t in it." They argued convincingly about details of spicing, temperature, baking times, and other cooks' various talents and shortcomings. "Don't listen to Dave; he can't cook worth sh!t, his is always underdone and it tastes awful." They cooked them up just like tater tots. They put Tabasco sauce on it. Mike had a great sleight-of-hand move whereby he'd palm it or toss it down his collar, but it truly looked like he was popping them into his mouth and chewing. They kept up the act until they had a kid with a turd on his fork, almost at his lips, when somebody couldn't keep a straight face any longer, thus spoiling a legend.
Utah Phillips, "Moose Turd Pie".
