A pity I quit drinking -- is there anything besides brandy one can put in eggnog to make it palatable on Saturnalia?

I celebrate the solstice because it means winter is just beginning. We have three good months to snowshoe, snowboard, ice climb and have more minutes every day to do it. Hurray for 4 seasons! I like the other 3 seasons, too. Every season seems to be my favorite while it's happening.
I really hope we get three months to snowshoe! Someone said Hurricane Ridge is bare, and someone else said you can drive at least halfway up Teanaway Road. I'm slightly nervous at this point at the lack of snow.
