The closest we're going to get to agreeing on this is to agree to disagree. They've done a very nice job of being *technically* correct doing a reprehensible thing.
Disagree about what? The facts? I have solid firsthand information to confirm that the PL carrier controlled the litigation and settlement decisions.
Or are you talking about the law? I personally think REI should have been held liable as a manufacturer. You agree with that, right?
So, where's the disagreement?
If people want to do something truly effective in Monika's memory, how about organizing a movement to change the law to protect thousands of future Monikas?
I've been bitching and moaning about REI forgoing their roots and losing focus and becoming a fashion center for decades now. But REI just opened a store here in Silverdale and it is a HUGE upgrade for this area and I enjoy going in there. I guess everything is relative.
