anyone ever seen one? This story caught my eye. I hope they can save it one way or another. http://news.yahoo.com/rare-redwood-faces-chopping-block-california-192321213.html

I saw some in the Henry Cowell Redwood State Park, north of Santa Cruz, a couple years ago... here's a description: http://www.weekendsherpa.com/stories/albino-redwood-tree-in-henry-cowell-redwoods/

What? Someone writes an article about an albino tree and no picture? Seriously?

Exactly! Plus trees don't get chopped down anymore. We've been using chainsaws since the 1950s if not before. Duh!

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Chlorophyll challenged is a more appropriate term.

That was my exact thought too. I click the story hoping to see what this tree looks like. WTF?

Thank you for posting that link to an actual picture. I guess moving the rail line a little to the right or left is out of the question.

The rails in the pic in the article I posted are not the rails referred to in the aricle by the OP (those are 'planned' rails, I believe). These rails are part of the old, dis-used (or infrequently used?) RR which runs from Santa Cruz north into Felton/Scotts Valley area, adjacent to State Hwy 9 - and through the Henry Cowell Redwoods St. Park.
