Looking for a partner to do a day hike in Cascades this week -- either Wednesday (midday) or Friday. Leave from Redmond, thinking about someplace on Highway 2 or the I-90 Summit but have not picked the hike yet. Here's the qualifying restriction, though... I am in my early 60s, a very experienced hiker/backpacker. However I am currently on chemo treatment with the result that I don't have as much strength as I used to. So hike can't be too challenging (500 ft or less altitude gain preferred) and I won't be walking very fast. So if you are NOT an ambitious sort, this could be a great hike for you -- or if you are ambitious you will likely be frustrated. On the other hand I am not totally decrepit Thinking a 2-3 hour total hike, in addition to drive time. I'll supply the wheels.
