Do you text while hiking?
Yes, all the time, except for maybe when fording a river during spring melt

Probably 50% of the time, usually on the descent--less dangerous

No, it is highly dangerous. I see people doing this and it makes my blood boil.

People, I would only do this in an extreme emergency and even then I would pull over to the trailside first.

of a chiropractic nature? That is the new modern posture.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

Touron, anyone who knows me knows I only use a Remington typewriter. By the way, as a potable typewriter, you can drink it. I've considered Underwood, but can't get over the name.
Hey Riverside, did you get a good bargain on your Remington when you purchased it? If so, then it might be the model they call a Remington Steele. These cut-price typwriters are suppose to be very good for writing detective novels. As for me, I use more than one brand. For typing capitol letters, I always use an Olympia. For the letters m, b, and i, I use an IBM. If I am typing to the Duchess Kate of Cambridge, then I always use my Royal. If I am writing a letter of complaint to the dairy farmers, I use my Imperial, and wide margarines. Underwoods are suppose to be as easy to use as falling off a log, but as far as I can tell it is still a qwerty and there are no shortcuts, unless you are a quick brown fox jumping over a lazy dog, that is.

Or they had been arguing. This may or may not have happened to me before. angel.gif There isn't really cell service in the Cabinets in Montana. A tiny bit here and there. DH and I sure as heck don't text but since we are leaving our teens at home alone, it does bother him (and me a little too) that we can't be reached if there's an emergency. He has wanted to buy a Delorme for this reason. I am resisting because I KNOW my teens will use it to settle an argument instead...
