Such a talent. Here he takes over an interview with a Quebecois reporter. Results are hilarious, you have to be fast to pick it up---being a mix of French and English. And it helps to have a Boomer perspective. A lot of the humor is historically-based. He nails it with the Parisian attitude reference. Great stuff. The reporter is having a blast. ~z
Note: earlier this video self-started. Got a little html help from a friend to fix that. Thanks, buddy.

So funny, so crazy, so over the top. I have no trouble believing he was an addict or depressed. RIP Robin.

Great clip. A very sad day. Rest in peace, Robin.

Suicide. How terrible.

Behind every clown you will find a sad person..... RIP....

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

He once said, "cocaine is God's way of saying you're making too much money." Gotta wonder if years of freewheeling drug use contributed to his depression. He was great as the obsessed creep in One Hour Photo RIP Robin. Say hi to Jonathan Winters ETA: telemike posted this over on TGR:
Quote:
I had the privilege of skiing with Robin Williams at Alpine Meadows once about 15 years ago. Loaded a chair with him. He was on tele gear too. I didn't recognize him at first. He looked down at my gear and said "Hey. Your binding is broken." I looked at him the way I always look at smart asses that say that, looked at his gear, looked back at him and realized who he was. I just sat there gaping and stammering and he just said "Yep. It's me." A hell of a nice guy. We chatted a bunch, took a few runs together, and then he took off. Ran in to him at the Cottonwood that evening and he made a point to come up and say hi and chat for a few minutes with my friends then went to his table. Bought us all dinner and beers without telling us. A genuinely nice guy.

A great scene that's appropriate right now. From the movie Dead Poets Society. A farewell from his students after being forced out of his teaching position at a prep school. ~z

Of course, that is because we try to dodge the perils of loneliness even when we have people all around us. It is a way to express one's longing for being happy. "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." -Robin Williams

What a terrible loss. Such a terrific comedian and actor. I'll particularly remember Patch Adams, Good Will Hunting, and Dead Poet's Society. I thought his roles were a caricature of himself in those movies.
