Treebeard, the eldest of the Ents, of the "Lord of the Rings" films and books.
vs. Groot, of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film and comics.
Discuss.

Where are all the sci fi nerds? I voted Groot. Treebeard is larger, but it seems like Groot can grow almost infinitely at will. And the whole tree root whiplash thing? Plus Treebeard takes his sweet time to get motivated to get into a fighting mood, Groot is there instantaneously. And if they can bring sidekicks I gotta take a heavily armed with guns and rockets toting genetically modified raccoon over a couple of hobbits.

I'll take tree butt...

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

Someone yesterday reminded me of this famous tree creature...

Hard choice, I love all tree creatures! Since I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy I'm leaning towards Groot, but Treebeard is the all-time classic sentient tree.........
