Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Just got a copy of this 1967 treasure. Lots of hints about gold (including the rare wire gold) in the Swauk/Liberty area.

New book out as of 2014: Blewett Gold, History of the Peshastin Mining District by Victor Pisoni. ISBN #978-0-9822558-6-5. 308 pages. $29.95. Pisoni did an excellent job of researching the Captain Ingall's lost gold story with newer and better information on it. Loaded with more stories and history of the mining district.

Remember the family going to Liberty in the 60's. Pop was always careful were we went as word had it the locals didn't take kindly to gold panners encroaching on their claims. You'd be met with a rifle.
